Activity 3:
A Quick and Simple Introduction to PowerPoint :
Create a Personal Introduction

1. Pull down File menu. Select "New."

2. Click on "Presentation Designs." Select the design you want (scroll through options).

3. Click on layout you prefer. (I suggest clip art and text, for flexibility and ease).

4. Pull down "Insert" and select "New Slide."

5. Type in the title: Introducing....(fill in your name).

6. Double click on clip art icon, scroll through list, select something that illustrates some part of your personality, hobbies, or attributes.

7. In the text section, fill in 2-3 key things we should know about you.

8. Save your powerpoint presentation.

If you want to add more glitz to your presentation:

1. Pull Down Insert menu and select Movies and Sound. Select "Sound from Gallery."

2. Click on a sound you like. Click "Insert."

3. Pull down View and select SlideShow. Try out your sound effect.

4. Pull down View and select Slide. Click on a text box.

5. Pull down SlideShow and select "Preset Animation."

6. Select some animation for your text.

7. Pull down View and select SlideShow. Try out your animation.

8. Save your powerpoint presentatation.
