Activity 1

Working in pairs, select a pattern you would teach to your students. It can be a single letter-sound correspondence, or a concept such as consonant digraphs, or several non-phonetic words, or a new rule such as when to use –ck and –tch. Or, it could be several prefixes or suffixes, or even a Latin root or two.

Write out your opening, design some middle activities, write a closing, and develop several follow-up activities.
