Individual Activity 1:

Mark the schwa or schwas in each word with its diacritical symbol ( ). Schwas may occur in any part of the word (i.e., prefix, root, or suffix).

Individual Activity 2:

Divide the following Latin-based words into syllables. Remember that sometimes the entire root doesn’t stay in one syllable.
