Directions: Working individually first, respond to each of the tasks below. Then share your responses with your small group.

First, think of one topic in algebra that you think might be very difficult for students with learning disabilities in math.

1. Identify possible sources of difficulty with the topic. Explain why.

2. Identify ways in which you might be able to assist them overcome the difficulties you obtained in (1) above.
