Quick Write

  • “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” is a cliché that is quite appropriate when discussing individual, classroom, and school wide behavioral issues. Jot down a few reasons why this cliché conveys an important message and meaning for educators.

  • It has been said, “people will get their needs met one way or another.” Think of a few students or clients and briefly describe how, either positively or negatively, they get their needs met.

  • Misbehavior usually has a goal. What do you think are the goals of misbehavior for most students?
