Group 1: Read Section A-Introduction & Section B-School
Program (pp. 1-2).
Group 2: Read Grades 9-12 Pathway Programs, Description of Five Career
Pathways, and Vocational Department (pp. 3-4, 12-13).
Group 3: Read Action Plan 1-Integrated Project (pp, 7, 8, 16).
Note: When reading, each group should take notes. After reading in small
groups, the entire class meets for a group discussion. A representative
from each group shares five main concepts learned from their assigned
reading. In the large group debriefing the following topics should be
addressed:
- Main Components of O'Connell High School's Career Pathways.
- Type of integrated projects that O'Connell's academic/pathway teachers
completed.
- Importance of the Integrated Project as a means for cross-departmental
collaboration among O'Connell's academic and pathway teachers.
