Handout 7:
Examples of Meeting Rules

Teams should create rules or meeting norms that they think are needed to ensure the comfort of key players and prevent past negative meeting experiences from occurring.

  • We only share information that is useful for productive problem solving.

  • Everyone’s voice is valued respected; everyone’s opinion counts.

  • We will be supportive rather than judgmental.

  • No put downs or interruptions.

  • We will monitor each other to remain strength-based.

  • The family chooses what information about them is shared at meetings.

  • All team discussions will be considered confidential.
