  • As alternative educators, you know that many of your students do not come with all of the resiliency factors in place. How well do you know your students? In your small group, discuss the research by Werner and Smith and talk about specific students you know well. What do these students have in common? How are they different? How do they do after they leave your programs? For many students, refusing to attend a comprehensive school is a form of resiliency. How do these students do in your school and after they leave?
