  • Discuss your responses to the following questions with your small group.

1. What kind of support do you expect from people you work with? How well do you know the work of people you work with? How well do they know your work?

2. What do you do to build professional relationships? Do you enjoy “talking shop”? Does such talk help make you more effective? Whom do you work with who challenges you to think deeply about what you do?

3. Do you feel respected by the people you work for and with? How do they show you respect or lack of respect? Do you respect these people? How do you show them respect or lack of respect?

4. Do you feel listened to at work? Who values your opinion? How do they show you? Do you value what others have to say? How do you let them know?

5. What and who bring you joy at work? What do you do to build these people and these activities into your daily work life?
